When progressive bluegrass quintet The Infamous Stringdusters last played Bend in March, it had just collected its first Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album for 2017’s sprawling, genre-shifting album “Laws of Gravity.” Less than a year later, the band will return, this time graduating from the Domino Room to the Midtown Ballroom, a sign of the band’s growing popularity. Of course, with its roots-oriented sound, tasteful jams and nods to acoustic music’s past and future, the group is almost assured popularity in Central Oregon. If you missed the show last time around and need a primer before Wednesday’s show, check out “Live from Telluride,” which features the Stringdusters bashing through a greatest-hits set.

The Infamous Stringdusters, with Midnight North: 8 p.m. Wednesday, doors open at 7:30 p.m.; $25 plus fees in advance, $30 at the door; Midtown Ballroom, 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend; parallel44presents.com or 541-408-4329.
