Seattle indie-folk band The Head and the Heart will return to Les Schwab Amphitheater on Sept. 19.

Portland’s Blind Pilot will also perform. Both bands opened for The Shins at the amphitheater in 2012.

The Head and the Heart formed in 2009 and has released three albums. Its most recent album, 2016’s “Signs of Light,” was its major-label debut for Warner Bros. Records and its second album to break the Billboard 200’s top 10.

Tickets cost $39.50 plus fees in advance or $43 at the gate, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at or at the Ticket Mill in the Old Mill District. A presale will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the same link (use password Local). Visit for more information.
