WinterFest will heat up Mt. Bachelor throughout the weekend, featuring gear demonstrations, giveaways, snacks, beverages and live music at Crow’s Feet Commons Friday and Saturday. Montana prog-grass band The Lil Smokies, a regional favorite and regular with promoter Parallel 44 Presents, will perform Friday evening to kick off the weekend. The main event Saturday, which doubles as a St. Patrick’s Day celebration, will feature the return of another Bend regular, G. Love & Special Sauce. The hip-hopping roots trio, which released its last album, the hard-rocking “Love Saves the Day,” in 2015, last performed in Bend at the Century Center in 2017 to celebrate its 25th anniversary as a band. Pennsylvania-born folk singer-songwriter Langhorne Slim will open the show with his band The Law. Best of all, as with the Apres Ski Bashes hosted at Crow’s Feet, both shows are free.
The Lil Smokies: 6:30 p.m. Friday; free
