The Central Oregon music community will come together Friday at Volcanic Theatre Pub to help people affected by the Camp Fire in Northern California. The wildfire, the state’s deadliest and most destructive yet, burned through 153,336 acres in Butte County in November, killing 85 people and destroying 18,804 structures, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Donations collected at the show will go to the North Valley Community Foundation, which has granted close to $1 million to community organizations that provide services to people displaced by the fire, according to the foundation’s website, nvcf.org. A bevy of Bend favorites will provide the music, including This Island Earth, Rubbah Tree, Sweet Whiskey Lips, Kourtni Perez, Appaloosa Quartet, Krista Herring, Melanie Rose Dyer and Daniel Cooper.
Camp Fire relief concert: 8 p.m. Friday, doors open at 7 p.m.; $10 suggested donation; Volcanic Theatre Pub, 70 SW Century Drive, Bend; volcanictheatre.com or 541-323-1881.
