Metalheads (and rock ’n’ roll fans in general), rejoice: Red Fang is finally coming to Bend. The sludgy Portland quartet, which was supposed to debut in Bend in 2010 but canceled after crashing its tour van, will finally perform at the Domino Room on Thursday with fellow Portland groups R.I.P. and Gaythiest set to open. In the eight-year interim, Red Fang upped its national profile touring with such heavy-rock institutions as Megadeth, Mastodon, Black Tusk and Kyuss Lives and released three albums that pushed the boundaries of the band’s hook-filled, punk- and stoner-influenced hard rock in subtle ways. The band’s most recent album, “Only Ghosts,” was produced by hard rock mainstay Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot), with promo clips for singles “Shadows” and “Cut it Short” continuing the band’s penchant for irreverent music videos.

Red Fang, with R.I.P., Gaythiest: 7 p.m. Thursday; $18 plus fees in advance, $23 at the door; Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend;, or 541-408-4329.
