Who: Painter Marc R. Hanson’s work is a part of the three-person show “Summer Rhapsody” on display through July at Mockingbird Gallery. Living in northern Mississippi, Hanson began his artistic career after majoring in illustration at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He then worked as a staff illustrator in Sacramento before spending 33 years pursuing his art and raising his family in Minnesota. A naturalist at heart, landscapes are the most common vehicle for Hanson’s artistic expression. His work has been shown nationally and internationally and he is a Master Signature Member of the Oil Painters of America.
