Who: Julee Hutchison’s paintings are part of the “Wide Open” exhibition on display through March at Mockingbird Gallery. Hutchison owned and ran a graphic design and writing business with her husband in Phoenix when she began taking painting classes and workshops.

Her love of the natural world and landscapes drew her to plein air painting and her decision to move to the picturesque town of Telluride, Colorado. Her work has recently expanded beyond landscapes into figurative and still life, as well.
