Andy Frasco & The U.N. has a reputation on the jam scene as a party band, and that’s reflected in the group’s mix of blues-rock power, soulful grooves and punk-rock energy. But it sounds like that rep may have caught up with keyboardist/vocalist Frasco, who struggled with drug use, sleep deprivation and the rigors of playing 250-plus shows per year in the buildup to new album “Change of Pace,” per the band’s Facebook biography. Enter Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools, who set Frasco and the band on a new path with “Change of Pace”: “I wanted to chronicle my life. I wanted to capture my feelings. I wanted substance in my life and music,” Frasco said in the biography. Frasco and company will return to Central Oregon for the final Apres Ski Bash of the season at The Commons on Friday.
