Just two short months after his most recent Bend appearance, with Terrapin Flyer at Volcanic Theatre Pub, Melvin Seals is coming back with his main band, JGB (Jerry Garcia Band), to play the Domino Room on Tuesday. That’s not much time between shows, but consider Bend’s love of all things jam-band, and that scene’s love of all things Grateful Dead, and it makes sense. Organ player Seals, who served as right-hand man for the Dead’s Jerry Garcia in his eponymous solo band from 1980 until Garcia’s death in 1995, offers perhaps the most authentic experience for Deadheads looking to experience classics and rarities from both bands. And even if you’re not a Deadhead, you’d do well not to miss one of the biggest keyboard talents playing today.

Melvin Seals and JGB, with Watkins Glen: 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, doors open at 8 p.m.; $25 plus fees in advance, $30 at the door; ages 21 and older; Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend; parallel44presents.com or 541-408-4329.
