Halloween just passed, but if you’re missing the ghosts and ghouls already, head to Third Street Pub on Saturday and prepare to get spooked with Virginia death metal quartet Arsis. After a five-year recording hiatus, during which time vocalist/guitarist James Malone joined Necromancing the Stone and lead guitarist Brandon Ellis joined The Black Dahlia Murder, Arsis returned this year with its sixth studio album, “Visitant,” a love letter to ’80s horror movies such as “Pet Sematary” and “Silver Bullet” stuffed to the brim with speedy fretboard work and thrashing rhythms. A festival’s worth of metal bands will also perform, including Internal Bleeding, Pound, Neck of the Woods, Pyrexia and Within Destruction, plus locals Gravewitch, Foes, Corvus and Downbound.

Arsis, with Internal Bleeding, Pound, Neck of the Woods, Pyrexia, Within Destruction, Gravewitch, Foes, Corvus, Downbound: 5 p.m. Saturday; $15 (plus fees in advance); ages 21 and older; Third Street Pub, 314 SE Third St., Bend; arsisbend.brownpapertickets.com.
