Coolio is set to turn Oregon Winterfest into a “Gangsta’s Paradise” on Feb. 17.

Promoter Lay It Out Events announced this week that the ’90s hip-hop star will headline the music lineup for the 19th annual festival, which takes place Feb. 16 through 18 in the Old Mill District. Live music takes place in the Music Chalet on Feb. 16 and 17.

Coolio is best known for his Grammy-winning 1995 hit “Gangsta’s Paradise,” which peaked at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. He continues to tour and release new music, and dropped the single “Kill Again” this year; he also recently published a cookbook, “Cookin’ With Coolio,” in conjunction with a web series of the same name.
