A Bend man was issued a traffic citation following a crash on U.S. Highway 20 on Monday morning that caused minor injuries to three people.
No one required medical transport, the Oregon State Police said.
The collision occurred at about 11 a.m. when Micah Nelson, 31, tried to cross Highway 20 at Old Bend Redmond Highway. Nelson had stopped on the south side of the intersection in a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle, and he started driving to the other side of Highway 20.
At that time, Alko Dawn Fadler, 40, of Frieheim, Mo., and 15-year-old passenger were headed east in a Ford Ranger pickup. Nelson’s vehicle collided with Fadler’s, causing Fadler to lose control. The truck rolled over before coming to rest on its wheels.
Everyone was wearing seat belts.
Oregon State Police issued Nelson a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device.
