Deschutes Brewery is releasing two fresh hop beers later this month.

This will be the ninth year the brewery has produced Hop Trip, a beer made with freshly harvested hops from fields in the Willamette Valley.

Brewers will travel to Sodbuster Farms and then return the same day to put the hops into the brew kettle.

The result is a pale ale with citrus flavors, 5.5 percent alcohol by volume and 38 IBUs (international bitterness units).

The brewery will also release Chasin’ Freshies. This is the second year the Bond Street Series beer will be produced. The beer is made with fresh Amarillo hops from Gamache Farms in Washington.

The name is a play on the idea of chasing fresh snow on the ski slopes. The IPA has a bold flavor and comes in at 7.2 percent ABV with 65 IBUs.
