Bulletin Staff Report

The Georgia-based sandwich chain Chick-fil-A Inc. has broken ground in Bend and hopes to open its doors in early 2020.

The company relayed the estimated opening date through a spokesman and did not respond to other questions.

Chick-fil-A will be part of Robal Road Village, 20508 Robal Lane, which is on the east side of U.S. Highway 97. The restaurant has been anticipated since fall 2016, when plans for the shopping center were filed with the city of Bend.

Chick-fil-A and its drive-thru will be situated between parking for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and a retail building.

Robal Road Village shops began opening in early 2018. Cracker Barrel opened this year.
