• Ellen Grover and Erin MacDonald were elected as managing partners at Karnopp Petersen LLP in Bend. Grover practices in land use, natural resources, Indian, and development law. MacDonald practices in the trusts and estates department.

• Cynthia Steward Jurgensen of Powell Butte was hired as the Latino Community Association’s first development manager. Since 2002, Jurgensen has worked for the Crook County Foundation, the Shelk Foundation, Bend Area Habitat for Humanity, Family Access Network Foundation, Camp Fire USA (Bend Chapter) and the Crook County School District.

• Myrna Dow, president and founder of High Desert Frameworks, received the attendees’ choice award in the 2019 Tru Vue All-Star Custom Framing Competition at the International West Coast Art And Framing Expo in Las Vegas in January.

Leticia Aldaco, a retired medical technologist; Tammy Baney, executive director of the Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council; Mark Huffman, president of Sage Builders; René Kesgard, a financial executive; Lauri Miller, a broker with Harcourts The Garner Group Real Estate; Dan Stevens, executive vice president and Oregon regional director for PacificSource, were elected to the 15-member board of directors of Bethlehem Inn. Aldaco is the first former resident of the shelter to serve on its board of directors.
