Two of Bend’s small tech firms have teamed to share downtown office space.

Craft CMS and CodePen are occupying 2,200 square feet of office space on the second floor of 919 NW Bond St., Craft founder Brandon Kelly said. Both firms market their products to web developers, and they’re former occupants of BendTech at 1001 SW Emkay Drive. The two firms shared office space on Arizona Avenue before moving to a larger space downtown.

Both have remote employees, as well as a growing presence in Bend, Kelly said. Craft has grown from three people to six with the addition of a marketing director and two junior developers, both of whom are OSU-Cascades students, he said. Another of CodePen’s three co-founders recently moved to Bend, he said.

Craft, which makes a content-management system, can’t attribute its growth to one or even a few large customers, Kelly said. “We’ve got lots and lots of small companies that use the product.”
