Scott Braucher (Copy Editor / Page Designer)
I joined the staff of The Bend Bulletin in March, 2019, and I design news pages and copy edit stories remotely from my home in Tucson, Ariz. I have worn many hats during my long career in newspapers, mostly in editorial photography, page design and editorial systems. Prior to coming to The Bulletin, I had several positions at NEWSCYCLE Solutions (DTI), including system implementer for print and web, senior support analyst and trainer. At Amarillo Globe-News I was a photographer and Newsroom Administrator for the news publishing system. I was also a news page designer and copy editor. At Los Angeles Times I held many different positions including Editorial Systems Analyst, IT Business team leader, Photo Systems Manager, and Senior Photo Editor/Operations. My jobs ranged from preparing complex reports; monthly account closings and reporting; IT system implementation; Help desk customer support and troubleshooting; multimedia systems and producing; remote photo support, including two overseas Olympics, Super Bowls and World Series; beta testing for digital cameras; installation, training and use of photo workstations; and managing budgets. I grew up in Tucson, Ariz., and was a photographer for ten years at the Arizona Daily Star, where I was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in feature photography.
