The 40th annual Bigfoot 10K and the Dirtyfoot 10K trail race, which were to be held Sunday, have been postponed due to the possibility of poor air quality over the weekend. The races, which both start at Seventh Mountain Resort west of Bend and finish at the Old Mill District, have been rescheduled for Oct. 8. All entries for the race are automatically transferred to the new race date.
In a statement posted on the race website, Central Oregon Running Klub president Melanie Mangin said the race organizers were concerned about the effect of poor air quality due to wildfires throughout the region on race participants and volunteers. For more information, visit http://bit.ly/2f89Z4P.
