CORVALLIS — Former Oregon State head football coach Mike Riley will work as an assistant coach with the Beavers for $50,004 a year. Riley was fired by Nebraska this past November after three seasons as head coach of the Cornhuskers.

Riley, who will coach tight ends for the Beavers under their new head coach, Jonathan Smith, has a two-year contract and receives a $35,000 signing bonus.

Nebraska will also be paying Riley through the end of his contract, which expires in 2021. He will be paid $6.63 million through that time.

New OSU offensive coordinator Brian Lindgren will make $500,004 a year for a three-year contract.

Offensive line coach Jim Michalczik has a two-year contract and will get paid $425,004 a year.

Special teams coach Jake Cookus has a two-year deal worth $200,004 a year.

Oregon State has not finalized contract information for defensive coordinator Tim Tibesar, defensive line coach Legi Suiaunoa, defensive backs coach Greg Burns, inside linebackers coach Trent Bray, receivers coach Kefense Hynson or running backs coach Michael Pitre.
