The Sunriver Resort Half Marathon for a Cause has been rescheduled for Oct. 14. The half marathon, 5K run/walk and kids race were originally planned for the weekend of Sept. 2, but poor air conditions caused by forest fires forced the event to be postponed.
Runners who registered early for the original race have had their entries automatically rolled over to the Oct. 14 event and may pick up their race packets at the Sunriver Resort’s main lodge from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 13 or on the day of the race.
Those who cannot participate on the new race day may either donate their full registration fee to St. Charles Cancer Services or have 50 percent of the registration fee refunded. Registrants who cannot run should email email@example.com by Sept. 18 to indicate whether they want a refund or to donate their entry fee.
Spots are still available for runners who did not register for the original race. To sign up, visit www.sunrivermarathon.com.
