North Twin Lake has been stocked with rainbow trout, and the latest report from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife noted that anglers reported good fishing there. The ODFW recently treated the lake with rotenone, a plant-derived pesticide, to remove the illegally introduced brown bullhead in the lake. North Twin, which is open to fishing year-round, was then restocked with rainbow trout. The average catch is 8 to 12 inches long.

Getting there: From U.S. Highway 97, take the Fall River turn 3 miles south of Sunriver onto County Route 42. Follow signs to Twin Lakes Resort and North Twin Lake.
