Vivian G. Kofford, long-time Bend resident, passed away July 13, 2014. She was born February 20, 1932 in Wailuku, Hawaii to Antone and Caroline (Negrones) Garcia. Vivian was proud of her Puerto Rican heritage. With her first husband in the Navy, they were stationed in various parts of the world.
In the early 50's, she married Albert Harris and they were sealed to each other in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple. Albert preceded her in death in 1977.
In the late 70's, she married Andrew J. Kofford, a local postman, who also preceded her in death.
Vivian was a devoted member of the LDS church, loved crocheting and other handy crafts.
She is survived by a son, Glenn Harris and his wife, Pamela; daughter, Tina Velvet Marie Pridgen and her husband, Jesse; adopted daughter, Elaine Karm and her husband, Leonard; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, as well as numerous other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Monday, July 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints on Shevlin Park Rd., Bend. A viewing time will be held prior at 9:00 a.m. in the Relief Society Room of the church.
