John ‘Jack’ E. Parker

April 30, 1921 - April 24, 2014

Jack was born in Hood River, OR, to Uel and Sadie Parker. He went to school, worked and lived on his fathers cattle ranch in Parkdale, OR. He was an expert on anything mechanical. He worked on a gold dredge in Granite, OR, a Caterpillar tractor machine shop, several Ford dealerships as a service and sales manager, owned a boat sales and service business in Los Altos, CA, and retired from Dole Foods as the fleet manager in Salinas, CA. After retiring in 1991, Jack and Pat moved to Lake Tulloch, CA.

Jack loved boating, waterskiing, playing poker and spending fun family time together at Lake Berryessa and Lake Tulloch.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Chris Darmody and Janis Jackson; grandson, Patrick Darmody; and the love of his life for 66 years, his beloved wife, Pat who passed away in October 2012.

Jack leaves behind a son, Jim (Cindy) Parker; daughter, Cindy (DeWayne) Petri; grandchildren, Todd (Janice) Darmody, Brett Parker, Lindsay Parker; great-grandchildren, Darius and Devin Darmody and Gigi Parker.

Jack will be remembered for his love for family, friends, leadership, stubbornness, Lions Club, and of course a good game of pool.

Thanks to Stonelodge retirement home and the residents who became good friends for the three years he lived there.
