Roger Bud Dyrness, of Bend, passed away at St. Charles on April 27, with his family by his side. He was 86 years old.
Roger was born to Martin and Laura (Petersen) Dyrness in Brantford, ND. In his early 20s he joined the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict.
Bud received an associates degree in business and was the owner of Silver Spur Stables in Glendale, CA. Roger had a passion for working with horses and also loved sports, especially baseball.
He is survived by his daughters, Terry (husband, Zach) Porteous, Nancy (husband, Randy) Flanagan and Pam Washan; his brother, Kenny (wife, Dorothy) Dyrness; and his sister, Ellen Meier; as well as nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Chad Flanagan; five brothers; and two sisters.
