May 6, 1922 - Mar. 15, 2014
Margaret Mary Kopp was the youngest of five children born to Hugh and Rose Tierney, Irish immigrants who settled in the Bend area. Central Oregon was always her home where she grew up, married and raised her five children. Being raised on a ranch, she developed an industrious ethic that served her well as a dedicated waitress over forty years. Her passion was serving people well! And most importantly, the foundation of her life was embedded in her deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ, whom she loved dearly.
Margaret is survived by her children, Camellia Leon of Bend, Morris Kopp of Redmond, Dennis Leon of Portland, and John Leon of Albany; her grandsons, Mark Lee of Portland, and Brian Leon of Salem; and her brother, Pat Tierney of Portland. Also, many nephews and nieces she loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris, and her son, Frank; sisters, Kate Viznor, Rosella Connolly, and Eileen Milbeck; and her grandson, Daniel. A graveyard service will be conducted at 1pm on Friday, at Deschutes Memorial Gardens, and a "Life Celebration" service at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Redmond on Saturday, Mar. 22 at 1pm.
Deschutes Memorial Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
