Aug. 26, 1928-Sept. 11, 2004 James Edwin Poeske of Redmond died Saturday of a heart attack. He was 76.A family memorial service was held.Mr. Poeske was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Wausau, Wis., to Emil and Josephine (Steiber) Poeske. He married Leah Dvorak on June 21, 1949, in Pine City, Minn.Mr. Poeske served in the Army and Air Corps as an instrument specialist during World War II. He worked in advertising sales for KPRB (radio station) in Redmond. Mr. Poeske enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.Survivors include his wife; a son, James of La Pine; a brother, Rudolph of Wisconsin; two sisters, Adeline Lerch and Lauretta Kernin, both of Wisconsin; a grandson and two grandchildren.He was preceded in death by three brothers.
