The city of Bend plans to hold an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, so people can learn more about a 2015 sewer project that could disrupt activities in McKay Park and elsewhere along the route of a sewer pipeline and other infrastructure.
The meeting will take place in City Council chambers at City Hall, 710 NW Wall St. As part of the Colorado Avenue sewer pipeline project, the city will replace a worn-out sewer pump station that is too small to serve the area, as businesses and neighborhoods continue to grow. The sewer station is in McKay Park. The project also includes installation of a new pipeline that will be attached to the Colorado Avenue Bridge and buried under existing streets.
