Isn’t this heavenly? Beer Angels are recruiting
Have you always wanted to be a Central Oregon Beer Angel?
Or, at least, have you wanted to be a Central Oregon Beer Angel since you knew there was such a thing?
If you answered “yes,” then get thee to Broken Top Bottle Shop & Ale Cafe (1740 N.W. Pence Lane, Bend) on Sunday evening, where the Angels will host a meet, greet and sign-up event from 5-7 p.m.
According to the group’s website, www.centraloregonbeerangels.com, the Angels are “a group of women who love all things beer.” Pretty simple. No wings required.
Sunday’s event is open-house style, so you can show up at any time between 5 and 7 p.m. and sign up for the group or just have a drink with the Angels. Holders of a membership card get $1 off their first pint.

Worthy, Broken Top celebrate birthdays
Broken Top Bottle Shop & Ale Cafe (1740 N.W. Pence Lane, Bend) will host an evening of special food and beer pairings from 6-9 tonight to celebrate its own birthday and that of Bend’s Worthy Brewing Co.
The pairing will be designed by Chad Kennedy, owner and brewmaster of Worthy, and Bethlyn Rider, chef at Broken Top. They’ll be offering up two beers and two appetizers for $20, and each menu item will be prepared with the Worthy beer it’s paired with.
Rider and Kennedy will speak about the pairings at 6:30 p.m., and local jam-pop artist Greg Botsford will provide live music at 7 p.m. Vegan options will be available.
