This was about as dominant as it gets for Summit.

With a 7-1 win over Crescent Valley of Corvallis and an 8-0 victory against Churchill of Eugene on Saturday, the Storm boys tennis team claimed top honors at the Summit Tournament at the Athletic Club of Bend.

Carter Quigley highlighted Summit’s domination by dropping just one game in two matches, posting a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles against Crescent Valley and a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2 against Churchill. During the two-day tourney, the Storm defeated their opponents 31-1 en route to a perfect 4-0 mark.

Also on Saturday, Bend High tied Ridgeview 4-4 but earned the win with a 10-6 advantage in sets won. Sean Hebert had a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles for the Bears, who finished 2-1 at the tourney.

Mountain View, which posted a 1-2 tournament record after falling 7-1 to Marist of Eugene and 5-3 to Ashland on Saturday, was led by Jakob Lenschen. Lenschen won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles against Marist and later teamed up with Brooks Larraneta for a 6-2, 2-6, 11-9 win at No. 1 doubles against Ashland.

Ridgeview wrapped up the tourney 0-3 with back-to-back losses on Saturday. The Ravens dropped a 7-1 decision to Ashland, during which only the No. 4 doubles team of Braden and Matt Allen posted a win. T.J. Smith and Brett Blundell recorded close three-set wins against Bend in the Nos. 1 and 2 singles matches, respectively.
