The vehicle driven by a Redmond man who suffers from dementia has been located, but there is no sign of the man, according to Redmond Police Lt. Keith Knight.

A dirty white 1999 Dodge Durango with the words “I love my family” written in dirt on the back hatch was located in Clackamas off U.S. Highway 26 by a Redmond resident who received the alert via cell phone while on the way to Portland, Knight said.

Robert Lee Stofle, 70, left his home at 2842 S.W. Juniper Ave., around 10:20 a.m. today. He is still missing.

Stofle is approximately 5 feet 10 inches and 200 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing gray pants with white stripes on the sides, a black stocking cap, and a brown puffy winter coat. He is not wearing his dentures, and is hard of hearing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Redmond Police Department at 541-504-3400 or the nonemergency dispatch number at 541-693-6911.
