Bakery expands — Sparrow Bakery has announced that it will open a second Bend location in the NorthWest Crossing neighborhood in the fall, and will expand its menu to offer full breakfasts and lunches. Owners Whitney and Jessica Keatman will retain their flagship location at 50 S.E. Scott St. The new space will have 2,000 square feet of space, with four times the seating of the existing bakery cafe, founded in 2006. 2748 N.W. New restaurant — Cabin 22 was scheduled to open Thursday after a thorough remodel of the former Blue Pine Kitchen and Players Bar & Grill space on Century Drive. Co-owner Mitch Cole, who previously owned the Elk Lake Lodge, and chef Sage Schiffman plan an upscale and eclectic bar menu with most plates priced $10 to $15.
