There’s not much that can keep Portland blues belter and “Blues Brothers” inspiration Curtis Salgado down — including quadruple bypass surgery. In March, the singer suffered a heart attack while on tour on the East Coast and was rushed into surgery in New Hampshire, according to a news post on his website. Roughly eight months later, Salgado is set to make his triumphant return to the road, starting with a stop at frequent haunt the Tower Theatre on Friday. Salgado’s mix of blue-eyed soul, old-school R&B and of course, the blues is in full effect on his most recent album, last year’s “The Beautiful Lowdown,” which took home three awards at the Blues Foundation’s 38th annual Blues Music Awards in June.
Curtis Salgado: 7:30 p.m. Friday; $28 or $38, plus $3 theater preservation fee; Tower Theatre, 835 NW Wall St., Bend; towertheatre.org or 541-317-0700.
