LEAGUES

Mondays — The Central Oregon Senior Golf Organization is about to begin is a seasonlong series that individual and team best balls. Series is open to men’s club members of host sites. Cost is $150 for the season plus $5 per event. For more information: Ted Carlin at 541-604-4054.

CLINICS AND CLASSES

April 10 — Golf Performance Lecture on injury prevention for golfers at Awbrey Glen Golf Club in Bend. Chris Cooper, a certified Titleist Performance Institute Fitness physical therapist, and Bend orthopedic surgeon Tim Bollom will discuss how golf mechanics can play a role in injury. The lecture will also offer practical tips to help prevent injury, along with information on current treatment and rehabilitation programs. TOURNAMENTS

Today — Spring Invitational Best Ball at Bend Golf and Country Club. Team best ball is open to the public and begins a 10 a.m. shotgun. Two-person teams can include one professional and teammates can not have more than a 10-stroke spread between handicap indexes. Both men and women are welcome. Cost is $280 per team and includes golf, cart tri-tip dinner, awards, contests and gross and net team prizes. Proceeds go toward funding Crook County’s boys and girls golf teams. April 20-21 — The Iceberg Open at Crooked River Ranch is a two-person scramble on Saturday and two-person best ball on Sunday.
