The Central Oregon Council on Aging is looking for participants in a study that will look at exercises Alzheimer’s disease sufferers can use to avoid developing disabilities associated with their disease. It is being conducted by the University of Washington’s Northwest Research Group on Aging.

Study participants and their caregivers will meet with a specially trained coach at home or over the phone as they learn exercises to improve strength and balance. They will also be taught how to set self-care goals and time for pleasant events.

For more information, contact the Council on Aging at 541-678-5483.
