Give Rebelution credit. They are not just a bunch of Santa Barbara dudes who threw together a reggae band, played some parties, tasted a little success and now are trying to ride it with as little effort as possible.
Nope. Rebelution is on a wave, and they are working hard to stay atop it.
To wit: Their recent tour schedule, which includes a 42-city headlining jaunt, slots supporting O.A.R. and a bunch of festival dates. Plus a trip to Bend’s Midtown Ballroom tonight.
Also: Their most recent release, “Peace of Mind,” which came out last year on the band’s own label, comes as a three-CD set that includes the official album, plus one disc with acoustic versions of each song on the album and one disc with dub versions of each song on the album. Now that’s productivity!
The hard work has paid off. “Peace of Mind” debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 1 on the reggae chart. Hear what all the fuss is about and download a new single at www. rebelutionmusic.com.
