Clarence Henry Blair

Clarence passed away March 15, 2013, at St. Charles Hospital, Bend, after complications from heart surgery. He was 74 years old.

Clarence was born in Ainsworth, NE, to Lawrence & Katherine (Ballinger) Blair. They moved to Caldwell, ID, when he was a baby. They then moved to Metolius, OR, in 1950.

Clarence married Frances Trueax in 1958. They were married for almost 55 years.

Clarence worked at lumber mills in Madras & Bend, at farms around Madras & Les Schwab tire centers in Sweet Home and LaGrande, OR.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; four daughters and their husbands, Valerie and Steve Skinner, Keizer, OR, Janiece and Terry Griggs, Redmond, OR, Beverly and Mike Wilson, Bend, OR, Clarice and Neal Forester, Albany, OR. He is also survived by five grandchildren, his pride and joy, Brandon and Kendra Skinner, Keizer, OR, Kendra and Micah Engel, Salem, OR, Kyle Griggs, Redmond, OR, Kyra and Sierra Forester, Albany, OR. He also leaves two great-grandsons, Jakob and Lukas Engel. All will miss him greatly along with his brother & two sisters, Tom Blair, Portland, OR, Virginia Reitan, Portland, OR, and Alice Miller, Redmond, OR. There are many nieces, nephews, his aunt Dorothy Bellina and Uncle Melvin Ballinger of Des Moines, WA; and many cousins, family and friends. Special granddaughters, Valerie Wolfe and family, and Samantha Fredricks and husband also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Edwin.

The entire Blair family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses who took care of him during this trying time.

Respecting Clarences wishes, there will be no funeral, however, there will be a celebration of his life on April 27, 2013, at Terrebonne Grange Hall, from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
