Stop mountaintop removal

Mountaintop removal is polluting water, flattening mountains and hurting communities in Appalachia, yet this extreme form of coal mining persists.

As a concerned citizen, I am appalled that this form of mining is allowed to exist. Mountaintop removal not only destroys and pollutes waterways and eliminates wildlife, but it affects air quality and the quality of life for families and whole communities.

As citizens of this great nation, we have an obligation to speak out and demand that our government step up and protect our environment for future generations.

When we cannot breathe clean air, cannot drink unpolluted water and our soil cannot sustain vegetation, it will be too late. If you like our way of life, then speak out and demand that it be protected.
