The Oregon State University Extension Service and Central Oregon Chapter of OSU Master Gardeners will hold a series of free, two-hour vegetable gardening classes beginning Tuesday and running through April.
Classes will be offered in Bend, Redmond, Madras and Prineville, and will cover such topics as climate, site selection, soil preparation and gardening in Central Oregon.
Introductory and advanced level courses will be held in Bend, Redmond and Prineville. The introductory-level class in Madras will be taught in both Spanish and English.
The class is offered at the following locations and times:
Tuesday: Madras, Central Oregon Community College; 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Wednesday:Redmond, Sage Elementary School; 6:30-8:30 p.m.
March 12: Prineville, COCC; 6:30-8:30 p.m.
March 16: Bend, COCC; 9-11 a.m.
March 26: Madras, COCC; 6:30-8:30 p.m. (Spanish)
March 19: Prineville, COCC; 6:30-8:30 p.m.
March 21: Redmond, Sage Elementary School; 6:30-8:30 p.m.
April 10: Bend, COCC; 6:30-8:30 p.m.
