The recent report from the Oregon state Legislature regarding four proposals to be considered by the judicial committee was at least a step in the right direction. We were glad to note that while schools were considered, it struck us that our state legislators included their facility as a place where a concealed weapon would not be allowed.
As for the rest of us, going to malls, theaters, grocery stores (you get the idea), we’re left to fend for ourselves. Just exactly how do we define the line between where the need for gun safety applies and does not apply?
