Barbara Bond, a professor at Oregon State University, will give a talk titled “View from the Middle of the Mountains,” as part of Oregon State University-Cascades Campus’s Science Pub lecture series.
Bond will explain the importance of the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest ecosystems research program, which has “changed the way we understand and manage forests and forest streams,” according to a press release.
Bond is the first holder of the Ruth H. Spaniol Chair of Renewable Resources and is an expert on the physiology of tree growth.
The free event will be held at Three Creeks Brewery, 721 Desperado Court, Sisters, on Tuesday.
Doors open at 5 p.m., networking starts at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m.
