The Browns Creek Fire, burning since about 1 p.m. Sunday near Wickiup Reservoir, grew to 108 acres overnight, according to the Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch Center.

Federal, state and contract firefighters managed to bulldoze a line around 90 percent of the fire and cut a line by hand the rest of the way, according to a morning update from the center.

Evacuation of campers from Sheep Bridge, South Twin Lake and Gull Point remained in effect; North Twin Lake campers were on notice, the center reports. Forest Road 42 is closed to allow helicopter water drops.
