Bend Area Habitat for Humanity seeks volunteers for a building trip in Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras, from Nov. 30-Dec. 8.

The organization is looking for 12 motivated volunteers who want to experience a different culture while helping low-income families in Honduras. Volunteers will help build adobe houses and renovate existing homes, as well as work alongside the future homeowners. No construction experience is necessary.

The trip will include five days of building and opportunities for cultural experiences, including tours of Mayan ruins, factories, an orphanage and more. Cost is $1,550 per person, plus airfare.

Honduras is one of the poorest and least developed countries in Latin America, with nearly two-thirds of Hondurans living in poverty.
