A toddler who fell in an irrigation pond in Redmond on Wednesday evening is receiving medical treatment in Portland, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
The 18-month-old boy had been outside with his family at a property on Southwest 58th Street when he apparently wandered away. Family members found him in the pond, called 911 and started CPR. The boy was revived and taken to St. Charles Bend by helicopter.
The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the incident, but currently believes it was non-criminal.
