U.S. Highway 97 south of Terrebonne is reopened following a two-car crash around 8:30 a.m. that sent three to a local hospital, according to state authorities.
According to Lt. Carl Rhodes, an elderly male in a Suzuki passenger car attempted to cross Highway 97 from Northwest Perhall Way, turning northbound. A southbound Kia with a male and female passenger struck the Suzuki’s front end.
OSP, Deschutes County Sheriff, Redmond Fire & Rescue and Oregon Department of Transportation all responded to the scene. The southbound lanes were blocked off during the investigation and removal of the vehicles. The names of those involved have not been released, nor the has the hospital where they were taken.
