Lester Friedman, of Bend, has earned the Earth Advantage S.T.A.R. Certification acknowledging special training in green building and energy conservation in real estate. A broker at Coldwell Banker Morris Real Estate in Bend and licensed in Oregon for 13 years, Friedman has also completed his certification for the National Association of Realtors At Home With Diversity program.

Cori Lowery has joined Juniper Insurance as a personal and commercial line account manager. A longtime resident of Bend, Lowery has several years’ experience in property and casualty insurance.

Leslie Scheppegrell, of Bend, has qualified as a “championship” agent by Farmers Insurance for her outstanding performance in high sales volume, high client retention, profitability and customer service. Scheppegrell will attend a championship conference in Chicago with other qualifying agents and district managers to discuss new business strategies and issues affecting the insurance industry in their communities.

Chad Koeller has joined Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Northwest Living as a real estate broker. Koeller has 18 years of real estate experience, including 10 years as a regional sales manager for a national home builder.

Bob Wade has joined Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Northwest Living as a real estate broker. Wade has been a licensed broker for 18 years, helping buyers and sellers with residential properties and representing builders on construction projects.

Renée Alexander, of BBT Architects, has been elected as chairwoman of the James D. MacConnell International Award Jury. The award recognizes outstanding educational facility planning and is considered the most prestigious award by the Council of Educational Facility Planners International. Alexander will also serve as the 2013-14 Pacific Northwest Regional President for the council.
