Anne Heath, executive director of the Sisters Park & Recreation District, has resigned, the district announced Wednesday.
Heath and her husband, Alan, are moving to Eugene, where he will work for the U.S. Forest Service for the Willamette National Forest, according to the announcement.
Heath, who joined the district four years ago, will work through the summer to give the district directors time to find a replacement, according to the announcement. During her tenure, the park district budget grew from $300,000 to more than $1 million, according to her resignation letter proffered June 6.
“This work has been extremely rewarding as I have personally seen the positive changes that have taken place in our community because of this work,” she wrote. “Important partnerships have been built and I believe that Sisters is a healthier community because there was a team who believed in and worked toward a vision together.”
