Four people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash that blocked U.S. Highway 20 in Sisters.
According to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Dixie Morken, 84, of Sisters, was stopped on McKinney Butte Road where it intersects the highway. Morken attempted to cross the highway and drove into the path of a vehicle driven by Amber Plant, 35, of Redmond.
Both Morken and Plant had an obstructed view of the eventual site of impact due to a large commercial truck stopped in the center turn lane.
Plant and her two children were taken by ambulance to St. Charles Bend for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, while Morken was taken to a Sisters clinic for treatment.
The crash blocked the highway for a short time. No citations were issued.
