Prep baseball and softball state title games will take place today and Saturday.

At Keizer’s Volcanoes Stadium, Grant Union takes on Roseburg’s Umpqua Valley Christian today at 1:30 p.m. in the Class 2A/1A baseball championship. The 3A state final follows at 5 p.m. when Tualatin’s Horizon Christian faces Pleasant Hill.

Yoncalla and Union/Cove kick off the run of state softball title games at 1 p.m. today with their 2A/1A final at Oregon State’s softball complex in Corvallis. Rainier and Dayton battle in the 3A final on the same field at 4 p.m.

On Saturday, Henley and Newport compete at 10 a.m. for the 4A baseball championship at Volcanoes Stadium. Bend High faces Sherwood at 1:30 p.m. for the 5A title, and Sheldon and Clackamas meet in the 6A final at 5 p.m.

Down in Corvallis on Saturday, Banks and Milton-Freewater’s McLoughlin High meet at 10 a.m. for top honors in 4A, Hillsboro’s Glencoe and North Medford are in the 6A final at 1 p.m., and Hermiston and Sandy play for the 5A championship at 1 p.m.

Tickets for all state finals cost $8 for adults and $5 for students.
