The Bend Senior Center, Bend Park & Recreation District and Hospice of Redmond are hosting a panel discussion titled “Starting the Conversation,” which will look at critical health care decisions. The event will be from 1 to 4 p.m. March 19 at the Bend Senior Center, 1600 S.E. Reed Market Road.
A panel of experts will talk about working with Medicare and private insurance companies, how to start a conversation about a person’s health care future; how to communicate your wishes with your loved ones; and the advantages of having an advance directive, which defines a loved ones wishes when he or she are unable to make decisions due to illness, etc.
