David Andrew Ryder of Bend, OR, (formerly of Ft. Thomas, KY) died on February 4, 2013, at the age of 31. He was born and raised in Kentucky and was a 2000 graduate of Highlands
High School in Ft. Thomas, KY. After high school graduation, David served in the US Navy from 2000-2004. He was married to DeAnna Dawn Garrett on August 19, 2011, in Zion National Park, UT. Together they laughed as they discovered the Land of Parenting, both reveling in every beautiful miraculous moment of their young son.
David was a brilliant, self-taught software developer and computer technology enthusiast, rising quickly in the software world to his most recent position at G5.
Davids love of nature, backpacking, hiking, and exploring was contagious. He shared this enthusiasm on many wonderful adventures with his father, family and friends. Davids big smile and non-judgmental style won him countless friends. He will be missed by so many.
David is survived by his wife, DeAnna; son, Landon; father, David Anthony Ryder of Ft. Thomas, KY; mother, Neda Calhoun of Latonia, KY; sister, Amber Helton of Latonia, KY; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of David's life is pending in Ft. Thomas, KY.
